SliplyHQ ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use SliplyHQ at sliplyhq.com or app.sliplyhq.com.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, including:

• Account data: Name, email address, company name, country, and currency.
• Employee data: Employee names, emails, salary figures, tax deductions, leave balances, and employment details entered by business users.
• Authentication data: Login credentials are managed by Auth0. We do not store your password.
• Usage data: Pages visited, actions performed, and timestamps — used for audit logs and platform improvement.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To process payroll, generate payslips, and calculate taxes on your behalf.
• To send payslip emails and invitation emails to employees.
• To maintain audit logs for compliance and security.
• To provide customer support and respond to your enquiries.
• To improve the platform based on aggregate usage patterns.

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your payroll data for advertising.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in an encrypted PostgreSQL database hosted on Railway (a SOC 2 compliant infrastructure provider). All connections use TLS encryption. Employee CNIC and sensitive identifiers are masked from non-authorised users.

Authentication is managed by Auth0, which provides enterprise-grade identity security including multi-factor authentication support.

Daily automated backups are retained for a minimum of 7 days.

4. Data Sharing

We share data only with the following service providers as necessary to operate:

• Railway: Cloud hosting and database.
• Auth0: Authentication and identity management.
• Resend: Email delivery for payslips and invitations.
• Sentry: Error monitoring (no PII in error reports).

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Export your payroll data in CSV format.

6. Cookies

We use a session cookie to maintain your login state (managed by Auth0). We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

7. Data Retention

Payroll records are retained for as long as your account is active. On account deletion, we will purge all personal data within 30 days, unless retention is required by applicable law (e.g., FBR tax record requirements in Pakistan).
